Brother Albert Crawford, Sr. was born, September 27, 1946 in Bradenton, Florida to the late Deacon Allie Crawford and Alma Hart.
He confessed Christ at an early age and joined New Bethel Mis- sionary Baptist Church in Parrish, Florida.
Albert joined the military at an early age and served 20 years. He retired September 1, 1988. Having achieved the following: He spent 2 years in Germany, Fort (Raleigh, Kansas) to Korea, Fort Meade, Maryland, Fort Benning, GA (Drill Sargent, 1st Class), Fort McClellan, AL (Training Military Police), Fort Dix, New Jersey (1st Sgt E8). Doing his tenure, Albert train thousands of soldiers to become officers, at West Point, New
York.
He was and TKO Instructor in Germany. In his travels, Albert went around the world more than once. He later joined the Masonic in 1976 as a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. As a civilian, he retired from being a Insurance Agent in 2010. Albert also retired from being a car salesman in 2015. Albert was a very proper dresser to impress. Upon Albert’s retirement, he returned to Parrish after 52 years and married his soulmate, lifetime friend, Brenda Dixon on September 9, 2016. Albert rejoined New Bethel Missionary Bap- tist Church in Parrish, FL. He loved his children and grandchildren. He also loved being around his family.
He was preceded in death by Valarie Blake, daughter; Betty Neal and Linda Jackson, sisters; Curtis Crawford, Amos Crawford, Sr., Roosevelt Atkins, Sr., Ephesian Crawford, Sr., Alfonso Crawford, Sr., Eugene Seabrooks, Brothers.
He leaves to cherish his memories and mourn his passing, his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Brenda Joyce Dixon-Crawford; sons, Albert Crawford, Jr., (Syreeta), Anthony, Garrett Crawford; daughter, Tioaya S. Crawford; sister, Deloris Williams; Brother, James Williams (Buena), Tommie Jackson (Mabis), Kenny Jackson, Allen Crawford; Loving mother-in-law; Mary Dixon; devoted sisters-in-law, Emma Crawford, and Betty Greene-Dixon, Sister-in- law, Ernestine Crawford, Ernestine, Marion, Sharon Dixon, Theresa Cooks (Larry), Pam Atkins.
Visitation will be 6PM-8PM Friday August 18, 2023 at Westside Funeral Home 204 7th St W Palmetto FL. Services will be 11AM Saturday August 19, 2023 at Carter Temple CME Church Bradenton, FL 540 11th Ave W Bradenton, FL 34205
