Bobby "Bob" Lawrence Mitchell Sr.

Deacon Bobby “Bob” Lawrence Mitchell, Sr., was born on August 22,1953 in Bradenton, Florida to the late Dollie Murrell Mitchell -Bennett and Daniel “DL” Mitchell. Bobby gained his heavenly wings on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Bobby “Bob” Lawrence Mitchell, Sr., was raised in Rubonia, Florida. He is a 1973 graduate of Palmetto High School. After high school, he enlisted in the National Guards, serving for only one year. He received an honorable discharge. Deacon Mitchell retired from the City of Bradenton in 2008, after 20 years of service in various positions. At an early age, Bobby attended Shining Light Church of God In Christ, Rubonia, FL. In 1998, Bobby joined the Mill Creek Baptist Church Bradenton, FL. In 1999, he was ordained as a Deacon. In 2008, Bobby and his family relocated to Orlando, FL. In that same year, Bobby continued to be a devoted and dedicated Deacon of the AGAPE Christian Academy. He continued to serve under Bishop Tony and Pastor Sceniorette Owens at House of David Ministries. Deacon Mitchell enjoyed landscaping in his yard, driving his kids to their after -school activities, hosting family events and watching his favorite football team the Dallas “Cowboys”. Deacon Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents, Dollie Mitchell - Bennett and Daniel Mitchell; oldest son, Bobby Mitchell Jr., youngest son, Luke Mitchell; Brother, Johnny Mitchell; Sisters, Doris Mitchell and Bernice Mitchell; Grandparents, Flozell Murrell, Sr. and Carrie Clark -Murrell; sister - in -law, Margaret Mitchell. Deacon Mitchell leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife, Diane M. Mitchell of 33 years; Sons: Ronald Mitchell, D'andre Mitchell, Simmian Mitchell, Jessie Perez Arista, and Ariel Perez Arista; Daughters: Sherina Mitchell, Shaunda Lane, Monae Mitchell, Mo'Asia Mitchell, Amanda Mitchell (Darryl Evans), Bobbie Mitchell, and Layla Mitchell (Jit Maxwell); Uncles: Flozell John Murrell, Sr., and Louis Murrell Sr., Brothers: Benny (Viola) Mitchell and Willie Mitchell, Special Cousins: Confidant Ruthie Barton-Murrell and Dollie Murrell-Ray, Encouraging niece, Faye Bing, Prayer Partners: Erma Muldrow and Bettie Jackson. Special Brothers -In -Law: Myron Wilson and Byron (Sharon) Wilson Favorite Sister -in -law, Maueretha Brown "MY ONE AND ONLY BROTHER -IN -LAW"; Special Aunts: Ruthnet Salter, Eva Coleman and Carrie Murrell - Casewell; seven goddaughters, three godsons, twenty nine Grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
