Byron Jenkins Jr Obituary

“BK” blessed this world with his life to Mr. Byron Keith Jenkins Sr. and Ms. Cathy Jean Oates in Bradenton, Fl. on February 3, 1991
“BK” had a sincere passion for the outdoor world, fishing and Video Gaming. He loved to show off his sportsmanship as a top contender in COD and Madden.
“BK” graduated with prestigious academic recognition from Palmetto High School, with notable awards from his State Governor’s Office. BK truly represented the Palmetto High School Tigers Class of 2009. BK was always intrigued by the enthusiasm and passion his Extended-Father Tyree displayed for the family business throughout BK’s growing up. BK wanted to carry the torch and he would eventually manage the family business while working on his college courses at H.C.C. BK was determined to utilize his scholarship being the first in his family as a recipient of such. After moving to the Orlando area, BK joined the ROSS Retail Division to manage stores in the Central Florida and Bradenton markets. He then later received his Associates Degree by furthering his education at Valencia College of Orlando and State College of Florida.
“BK” in February of 2015 BK began to establish a new union of his life’s path with his other half, Darlene Maurice while living in Orlando. In December 2015, Darlene made a promise to BK that she would not go into the New Year without having an established relationship as mates. At this point in Darlene’s head he was already her boyfriend BK told Darlene she was his girl & that’s all she needed to hear, Jan 1st 2016 they made it official. Jan 26, 2017 BK gave Darlene her first child. The relationship wasn’t perfect, but they loved each other. BK’s love for his kids made Darlene love him even more. In Oct 2019 BK gave Darlene, her “mini me” and even though his time here on earth was short lived. His love will forever reside with his children, family and friends❤️

“BK” in 2019 BK’s health began to decline. What was to be a short 5 months became a lengthy battle. BK never gave up or in to CANCER. Everyday promoted a new challenge for BK. During this journey BK's faith was solid and he walked in the order of the LORD. BK always put his kids, mother (Cathy), Fiancé’ (Darlene) and family at the top of his agenda. He loved his high school buddies to the core and spending time playing Madden with others from around the globe. BK established an unbreakable bond with his long-time friends Adrian Richards and Marquis Green. BK never complained about his most recent battle with his health, instead he used it as a catalyst to bring all those around him, near and closer to what GOD wanted from all of us. He was loved dearly with his own personal chef and personal trainer, Dominique by his side to ensure he did his part here on earth. His life spoke for itself and he kept a loyal and close relationship with GOD.
“BK” accepted his transition from this Earth on the early morning of Feb 11, 2021 surrounded by a host of family and friends. There is no doubt, that he was ready for the calling of God.
“BK” was preceded in death by his Grandmother Geraldine Oats, Grandfather Leo Gilbert Sr., Uncle Leon Gilbert Sr., Paternal Grandfather Willie T. Jenkins and most recently his Cousin Jarard “Bear” “B1” Martin.
