On Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 9:59 A..M., Mr. Daniel Bernard Williams went home to live with our Heavenly Father.
He was born on August 29, 1963 in Arcadia, Florida to the late Mr. Wonder Lee Williams and Mrs. Irma Morgan Thomas. Our beloved Daniel, better known to many as “Bernard” until he met his wife Deana, who changed his nickname to “Bernie”. They joined hands in marriage on November 18, 1994, dedicated his love and his life to God, his loving family, his vocation, but most of all, to the love of his life, Deana, his daughter, Danielle, son, Christian, his only brother Millard Gill, Jr. and his mother, Irma Lee. Though talented in many areas during his 58 years with us, he chose to start his own award winning business called “Bernie’s Tree Service” which he operated for over 20 years.
Bernie was his family’s own personal chef! Those who knew him well, knew how much he loved grilling and pleasing his family and friends. If you missed the opportunity to try his delicious, tender, smoked BBQ, know that you missed a real treat. He loved his action packed big screen movies - before big screens became extremely popular, building things, home-time karaoke and riding his motorcycle which he named and designed after his favorite movie - Predator (the first one). He had a magnetic smile and personality and was very hospitable!
Bernie is survived by his wife, Deana Williams of 27 years, his children, Danielle Williams of Sarasota and Christian Theodore, 3 grand daughters, Eyva, Amayah and Makenzie Theodore of Sarasota, mother-in-law, Berdine Parks (Gordon) of Bradenton, Florida, brother, Millard Gill, Jr. (Merscilla) of Sarasota, Florida, sister-in-law, Benita Zarr (Jeffrey) of Parrish, Florida and brother in-law Jerome Thomas, Jr. of Georgia. He leaves a legacy of love to a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues. Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 28th from 4pm to 6pm at Westside funeral home 204 7th St W., Palmetto, Fla 34221. Funeral Service will be held 11am on Wednesday December 29th, 2021 at Risen Savior Lutheran Church 14605 59th Ave E., Bradenton, Fla 34211. Westside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
