Darryl E Blalock

Darryl Edward Blalock was born on April 21, 1962 to Sylvester Blalock, Sr. and Ada Virginia Mason.
His family moved to Bradenton, Florida in 1967 because his grandmother, Katie Mason lived there. Darryl attended Manatee County Schools, graduating from Southeast High School in Bradenton, FL and attended Manatee Jr. College for 1 year. He enlisted in the U.S. Army for 3 1/2 years, returning to Bradenton. He worked as a cook in various restaurants. He worked at Bob Evans until COVID19.
He was preceded in death by his Dad, Sylvester Blalock, Sr., Grandparents, Edward and Ethel Blalock, Kirnel and Katie Mason.
Darryl leaves many cherished memories to his Mother, Ada; longtime Companion, Pamela Varney; Two children, Sabrina Blalock, Darryl Blalock, II, both of Bradenton; Brothers, Frederick, Sylvester and Michael (Ollie) Blalock; 9 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson; Aunt and Uncle Eugene and Gertrude Blalock; Step-brothers, Bernard and Margus Blalock; One Step-sister Gina Blalock, all of Cleveland, Ohio; a host of sorrowing cousins and friends. Public Visitation will be held on Friday December 31, 2021 from 12pm to 2pm at Gethsemane Baptist Church  501 9th Ave W., Bradenton, Florida 34205.  Funeral Service will follow at 2pm.  Condolences may be given at www.westsidefh.com
