Dwight Williams Sr Obituary

Dwight Alexander Williams Sr., 58 was a loving son, brother, father, soldier, uncle, grandfather, husband and friend. He was born December 3, 1964 to Charles Napoleon Williams Sr. and Annie Ruth Williams (Fobbs) in Bradenton, FL. He was nurtured and raised in Palmetto, FL; and being the baby of the family, Dwight quickly found his way with his infectious fun-loving spirit and a passion for football and dancing. After graduating from Manatee High School in 1982, Dwight enlisted in United States Army. While in the Army, Dwight served several tours overseas. He was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm and Bosnia during the Bosnian Conflict. He was also stationed in Germany and Korea. He retired honorably after 18 1/2 years of service. After retirement, Dwight enrolled at Flagler College where he would earn a B.A. in Business Administration on December 2013. He remained active in his community by starting a youth sports mentoring group called “Second Chance Sports”, and volunteering to coach the Canopy Oaks pop warner football team. He was also a dedicated member of Valentine Lodge #147 P.H.A. Dwight spent his last years as a die-hard FSU Seminole fan and taking care of his family before becoming ill in 2021.
