Isaiah Dawsey Obituary

Isaiah Dawsey was born August 25, 1936 in Gordon, Alabama to the late Edmon and Thelma Scott Dawsey.
"Ike" as he was known to his family and friends was the 9th of 16 children. He attended public schools in Alabama and received his high school diploma from Lincoln Memorial High School in Palmetto, FL. He went on to receive a certification as an electrician.
He was a compassionate, generous man, helping anyone who required assistance. He was passionate about working and saving money. "Go to work and put your money in the credit union for a rainy day,” was one of his favorite quotes. He enjoyed watching television especially sports, and animal channels. He was a football commentator to anyone who visited him during football season. His favorite team was the San Francisco 49ers.
He made sure his children attended church when they were young to instill a strong faith when they became adults. Isaiah was baptized and received Christ as his personal savior as a youth at Triumph Church in Alabama.
He worked several jobs when he moved from Alabama to Florida. His final job was with Tropicana in Bradenton, Florida where he worked 38 years. During his retirement he traveled and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Seabrooks Dawsey, son Michael Dawsey, and many family/friends.
