Jennifer Walker Obituary

Jennifer Russell Walker was born September 19, 1963, in Bradenton, Florida to the late Annie Bell Russell and Jerry Benton. She was the youngest of seven children. She was a 1981 graduate of Southeast High School, where she excelled academically. She enrolled and completed a year of college in California. After leaving college, she joined the United States Army and served our country for 12 years. Her tours of duty included Germany, Korea, Washington, and Kentucky. (Thank you for your service, Jennifer). She returned to Manatee County after completing her military service and continued her education receiving her bachelor's and master's degree from University of Phoenix. She was also studying to obtain her doctrine in education. She was employed with Manatee County Schools, Gulf Coast Marine Institute, and Teenage Pregnancy Program. She married Richard Walker Sr. on November 8, 1996, and enjoyed a wonderful, exciting, and beautiful life together. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, brothers (Frederick and Abraham Russell), and son (Jessie Quinn Jr.) She leaves to cherish her fond memories, a loving husband of twenty -six years, Richard Walker Sr., daughter, Jessica Quinn, stepson Richard Walker Jr., grandsons, JeVario Quinn, and Jeylan Quinn. Brothers: Tony Thomas (Ute), and Bernard Russell; Sisters: Leola Russell, and Brenda Thomas, Brother -in -law: James Walker, Sister -in -laws: Juanita Harvey (Gary), and Mary Walker; Aunts: Clara Dunbar, Rebecca Daughtery, and Josie Stokes; Nephews: Michael Randall, Frank Isom, Benjamin Irons, and Quincy Thomas; Nieces: Patricia Russell, Syrilla Thomas, Yolanda Thomas, Jasmine Thomas, Roshanna Irons, Ashley Irons, and Natasha Thomas and a host of loving great nephews, great nieces, cousins and friends.
