Kimberley Scott, 34, of Bradenton transitioned on February 7, 2021.  Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Westside funeral home 204 7th St., West Palmetto FL 34221.  funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Bayside Community Church 6609 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton FL 34209.  Kimberley Scott was born in Jamaica to Anne Scott and Dwight Scott on October 24, 1986. At an early age Kimberley moved to the United States where she was raised by Anne Scott, Dwight Scott, and Nikita Arrington.
Kimberley was educated by Manatee County School District where she graduated from Bayshore High School in the Class of 2005. Upon completing high school, she attended State College of Florida where she completed her A. A. Degree in accounting and technology. She transferred to the University of South Florida where she received her Bachelors Degree in Business Administra- tion.
Kimberley was an academic scholar from elementary school thru high school, receiving many awards such as outstanding accomplishment in 2002 for receiving straight A’s as well as the Golden Bear Award and the Academic Achievement Award. Kimberley was a member of the Honeybears, played flag football, soccer, and ran Track & Field. Competing in the 100 m, 200 m, as well as the 4 x 100 relay team.
On June 9, 2008 Kimberley became the mother to Kaiden James Friedman, her only child. Who she loved cherished, admired and adored. Kim had a village to help her raise Kaiden. As a mother, Kimberley encouraged Kaiden to be the best that he could be in academics, sports, kindness, generosity, creativity and mannerism. Kaiden was Kimberley‘s wind beneath her wings.
Kimberley started her career with the Sarasota Fire Department three years ago as the finance coordinator. Kimberley immediately fit in with her work family. As finance coordinator, Kimberley liberty kept the lights on. Although Kim was ill she would go to work to fulfill her duties with no complaints. Kim established a special bond with her co-workers who all adored her.
Kimberley loved Christ, her church family, and her spir- itual journey. She would often take notes from the ser- vices she attended to refer back to them. Kimberley taught Kaiden how important God was in their lives as well as how to pray, they would often pray together. Kim- berley had a zeal for life, a free spirit. A courageous hu- man being. Kimberley loved and admired her family and close friends. Kimberley was very resourceful as small as she was in size, Kimberley was feisty and adven- turous she loved to travel. Kimberley loved life.
Kimberley is survived by her son, Kaiden Freeman; her parents, Dwight Scott and Anne Scott; step father, Nikita Arrington, Jaclyn Gayle; sister, Stacy Scott; brothers, Adrian Scott, Kadeem Scott, Kelvin Arrington, Maleke Arrington, Hysak Scott, Dwayne Scott, Brandon Scott, Bentley Scott; Grandmother, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and all of her beloved friends.
