Lenita Williams Obituary

On Sunday, February 4, 2024, our precious one heard THE MASTER’S voice from heaven, speaking ever so softly.
Lenita Elenor Williams was born on October 22, 1965, in Bradenton, Florida to Neacy Brown-Sanders and the late James Williams.
Proceeded in death by stepfather, Ernest Sanders Jr.
Lenita attended Manatee County public schools. After graduating she continued to Bethune Cookman College where she received her BS. In furthering her education, she attended Phoenix University where she received her master’s degree in education. Sister Lenita has been a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church until she departed this earthly life on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Blake Hospital.
Lenita worked many years at CPS, and became a pillar in the community working at Manatee County Boys and Girls Club. She was a mentor and a role model to many young children. She went on to work for Head Start now known as Step-up Suncoast. There she received her 15 years pin as an Early Childhood Specialist. Lenita also worked at The Pittsburg Pirates. There she served as the front desk clerk and a mother to her “Boys” as she lovingly called them.
Lenita was a phenomenal woman, loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. In Lenita’s 58 years of life, she touched a lot of lives, made a lot of friends, and created beautiful relationships. Lenita leaves to cherish her found memories of life: a son; Brian Poole Jr., daughter; Brionta Poole, significant other; Brian Poole Sr., Mother; Neacy Brown Sanders, three sisters; Harriett Dunn (Michael), Toy Brown (Anton), Tikama Drummond (Darius), two grandchildren; Brady and Benjamin Poole, four in-laws; Tracey, Vernon, Damon, and Harold, three aunts; Dorothy Williams, Joyce Mathis, Gwendolyn Sanders, and uncle; Wayne Sanders, a bonus mom; Virgina Perry, four nephews; Maurice, Marquis, Markeem, Anton Jr., three nieces; Camryn, Tarai, and Kendall.
