Leticia Chapa, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on 03/03/2024 at the age of 56. Leticia was known for her vibrant personality and boundless energy. She was born on 04/07/1967 to Guadalupe Ortiz Chapa and Honorato Chapa in Cameron County, Brownsville, Texas.

Throughout her life, Leticia cherished the simple joys of dancing, hosting family gatherings, and spending time with her loved ones. Her warm smile and infectious laughter could light up any room, bringing joy to all who knew her. Leticia had a passion for shopping and dining out. Her adventurous spirit and joy for life inspired those around her to embrace every moment to the fullest.

Above all, Leticia adored her grandchildren Jayla Lara, Akenzie Lara, Tomas Ajeatas, Bryson Lara, Amayah Ajeatas, and Matteo Ajeatas, and she took great pride in watching them grow. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Leticia will be deeply missed by her surviving husband Maurillo Vanegas, children Mario Usbaldo Acuna, Jesus Ignacio Vargas, Ruby Acuna and partner Benicio Lara, Irasema Acuna and Partner Tomas Hernandez, grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, alongside sisters, brothers, and her mother. Although she may no longer be with us in the flesh, her spirit will continue to dance in our hearts forever.
