Lottie Turner Obituary

Lottie Lee Turner, 90, affectionately known as Sally was born on March 13, 1933 and passed away peacefully, February 11, 2024 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL. She was born an only child to Elijah Daniels and Emma Lee Kirkland in Dothan, AL.She attended public schools in Dothan prior to moving to Tampa, FL at the age of 10. She resided between Tampa and Bradenton, FL over the course of her life.

She was preceded in death by four of her six children, Bobby B. White, Ralph S. Thompson, Minnie L. Thompson and Sammy C. Thompson. She leaves behind two children, Vivian M. Dickerson (Michael) and Jerome Turner.

Sally was frequently on the go and nicknamed "Mustang Sally" as she drove up until the age of 88. She was often the life of the party who prided herself on not drinking alcohol or smoking. Sally truly loved to dance and her favorite move on the dance floor was the "camel walk". She thoroughly enjoyed the beach, football and fishing as a pastime. Sally was also known for opening her home to her children and grandchildren anytime they needed a place to call home. If you let her family and friends tell it, they would say she spoke her mind and had a "salty" tongue and yet, was still a loving and caring person who loved the Lord.

She leaves behind eighteen grandchildren, Andrea Alford, Shan White, Chris Thompson (Natasha), Milton Willingham (Tanya), Oeastay James, Lashay White (Devon), Sequoia Thompson, Taron Thompson, Tyrhonda Thompson, Tasha Grant, Latisha Turner, Jasmine Turner, Jelissa Turner Erica Turner, Tiara Johnson, Danaga Turner, Tavion Brown and Jerone Turner.

Sally will surely be missed and cherished by the loved ones she leaves behind.
