Madison Williams Obituary

 

Pastor Madison Williams was born on November 20, 1953 in Bradenton, Florida to the parentage of the late Mr. Thomas Williams and Lillie Mae Williams.  He received his formal Education from the local schools of Manatee County and was an athlete par excellent in a plethora of sports. He was a lover of all sports but had special love for football, basketball and baseball.

 

Madison Williams accepted the Christ as Lord and savior at an early age and carried a heart of service. Madison dedicated and purposed his life to serving the needs of others; after his formal education, he committed years of excellence to the Drs. Hospital and then after extended his service for over two decades as aSenior Skycap for both Sarasota and Tampa International Airports.  His personality and desire to make all feel special was noted, as he attended the needs of “his travelers”; he would work the baggage claim and the curb assisting several passengers at a time, yet gave them all A+ customer service. He passionately worked in this capacity and established life-long relationships until he suffered a career ending injury.  While out of his career, he would yet be found transporting senior citizens to their doctor’s appointments, the grocery store and even assisting the prominent Westside Funeral Home under the direction of close friends Mr. Richard and George Woodie.  

 

Madison continued to diligently serve throughout his community and in the ministry as an ordained Elder of the First Born Church of the Living God; it was in there year of 2015 that he would embrace the call of the Pastorate.  Upon accepting the clarion call to the office of pastor, he became the founder and establishmentarian of the Golden Temple First Born Church of the Living God.  Pastor Madison Williams preached the Gospel message unapologetically and served the body of Christ until accepting the appointment that no man can reschedule. Sunday, January 24, 2021, after receiving prayer from his nephew; Pastor Madison Williams peacefully made his exit from earth to eternal rest in the presence of God Almighty.

 

The powerful presence of Pastor Madison Williams in the earth was unprecedented; he was noted for his warm welcome, huge heart, haughty voice and laugh, contagious personality, style and debonair dress and love for the Florida Gators and the Pittsburg Steelers. 

 

Pastor Madison Williams was proceeded in death by his parents Thomas Williams and Mother Lillie Mae Williams and his middle daughter Shatrice Bass.  

 

He leaves to commemorate his legacy; his loving children, (sons) Gabriel Houston, Maurice Price, (daughters) ShavanahPage (Kevin), Tracy Mitchell (Nathanael) and one Son-in-Law Timothy Bass.  Oldest brother Thomas J. Williams (Carolyn), middle brother Dennis C. Williams (Buelah) and dearest sister District Missionary Genetta Jones (Major) and special AuntElder Juanita Johnson, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A plentitude of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, the First Born Church of the Living God, the Golden Temple First Born Church of the Living God, with special family nationwide.
