Melinda Williams Obituary

 

 

Melinda VeraMae Williams, a native of Manatee County, was born on April 30, 1963.
She was a member of St. John First Baptist Institutional Church. She was baptized along with her uncle, Willie Hudson, by the Pastor Fred Brown.
She transitioned on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Accent Care Inpatient Hospice Center at Oak Manor in Largo, Florida.
Melinda was educated in the Manatee County school system, attending Southeast High School and graduating in 1982. She furthered her education at MCC, receiving an Associate Degree of Arts in 1990, an Associate of Science Degree in 1991, and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in 1996 from Florida Metropolitan University System Tampa College.
Melinda loved children and worked at several nurseries/ daycares here in Manatee County.
Her hobbies were reading and talking on the phone daily with her aunts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Williams, and her brother, Cornelius Marcus Williams.
She leaves to mourn her death: her mother, Vera Mae Williams, and brother, Christopher Williams, both of Bradenton; loving and caring aunts, Dorothy Epps, Mae Etta Gross of Palmetto, Fannie (Harold) Bryant of California, and Rosetta Hudson of Georgia; a special friend and honorary aunt, Gwen Holmes McElroy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
