Ronald Simon Obituary


Ronald Larry Simon, Jr. was born on January 22, 1951 in Palmetto, Florida to the late Ronald Simon, Sr. and Betsy Mae Simon-Harvey. Ronald Larry Simon answered God’s call when he peacefully passed away on Thursday morning, September 16, 2021 surrounded by family.
He was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Ronald graduated from Manatee County School District, Palmetto High School. He later enlisted in the Air Force where he served 10 years. Ronald was a faithful and dedicated employee of the Manatee County School District where he worked as Head Custodian at Manatee Elementary School for 39 years. He retired and continued to serve his community by taking care of his family and friends. Ronald had a loving, humble and giving heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Hamilton and Betsy May Simon-Harvey and several siblings.
Ronald is survived by a loving wife, Mrs. Barbara Mitchell-Simon, three daughters, Tonia Simon of Bradenton, FL, Charlana Simon, Riverview, FL and Tyrae Simon of Monticello, New York; one son, Tyler Simon, Monti- cello, New York; one granddaughter, Caliese Simon; one sister, Joannie Tift, Palmetto, FL; two cousins, Samuel and Gregory Bailey; a host of other relatives and friends.

 

ATTENTION: Due to the COVID- 19 virus pandemic and in the effort to help stop the spread of the Virus,  Face masks must be worn at all times while in the Funeral Home. We can only allow a certain number of individuals inside the funeral home at one time Please, remember to keep your distance as much as possible and wash and sanitize your hands.
