Sammy Thompson, 59, of Manatee County was granted his wings on February 3rd, 2021.
He was born in Bradenton, FL, on November 20, 1961, son of the late Ralph Thompson and mother Lottie Lee Turner (living). He is survived by two siblings; Vivian Dickerson (Michael) of Palmetto and Jerome Turner of Bradenton. He leaves to cherish a host of special nephews and nieces: Chris (Natasha), Taron, Oestay, And Milton (Tonya). Andrea, Shan, Tyrhanda, Tasha, Shay (Devon), Tootie, Latisha, Jasmine, Erika, Tiara, Jelissa and Danaja. He also leave to cherish a host of great nephews and nieces, family members and friends.
Sammy Thompson attended the public schools of Manatee and Hillsborough County. He was a sanitation worker of both counties. He was comical and loved making people laugh. One of his favorite sayings “I do not like green eggs and ham, Sam I am”. He was an avid Bucs fan and loved hackling anyone who went against them. He loved his Saturday morning cartoons and he loved his family. He enjoyed every minute of living and lived it by his rules. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.
Sammy is predeceased by his brothers Bobby Blake White and Ralph Thompson, and sister Minnie Lee Thompson.
