Sharon Loretta Thomas was born on March 4, 1957 in Bradenton, Florida to the late Constine and Coretha Baskin. She was baptized at an early age at Turner Chapel A.M.E. Church and has been a member of Increasing Joy Ministries since its existence.
Sharon attended school at Memorial Elementary and was a graduate of Palmetto High School where she was one of the first black cheerleaders in 1975. She was also crowned Ms. Black Ebony of Manatee County. Sharon went on to graduate with a business degree from the University of South Florida.
Sharon and James Thomas were united in marriage May 24, 1997. She was employed with FPL and Increasing Joy Ministries where she worked diligently as their administrator.
As many know Sharon was a very loving and talented woman of God. Whenever asked, she never said no. We all have lasting memories of her whether it be a floral arrangement, a wristlet or corsage. But what we will remember most is her smile. That infectious loving smile.
Sharon leaves memories to her loving husband James Thomas; sons Reggie Baskin, Seth Jones, James & Joshua Thomas; brothers Constine (Patricia) and Gerald; three sister-in-law; four brother-in-law; her favorite nephews Constine “CB” IV and Cornelius; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
