Todd Murray

A native of Palmetto, FL, Todd Lamond Murray, was the first born to Alton  Emerson Murray, Sr., and Jeanell Vanzetta  Sailes on September 7, 1976 in Bradenton, Florida.

Todd received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bible Baptist Church of Palmetto, under the pastorage  of Rev. Alex Harper, Sr. 

He later moved his membership to St. John First Baptist Institutional Church, under the pastorage of Rev. Dr. Fred Brown. He was a faithful member who attended on a regular basis and volunteered whenever needed.

Todd was an all-around athlete and a critical part to the Manatee Hurricanes State Championship Team during the 1991-1992 season. He was a graduate of Manatee High School Class of 1994.  Soon after graduation, Todd would go on to attend Tallahassee Community College for two  years.  Todd always had aspirations of becoming a business owner and owning his own barber shop. He later returned to Bradenton, Florida and attended Manatee Technical College – where he would go on to receive his Barber License.  Once Todd acquired his license, he would go on to work at Salon 360 in Palmetto, Florida.  After a short period of time, he would take his talents and skills to The Urban Shave Barber Shop in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.  His last place of  employmentwas SmartStyle Salon in Palmetto, Florida.

Todd enjoyed cutting hair and spending time with friends and family. In the Summer of 2021, Todd accepted the opportunity to give back to the children of his church.  He gave free haircuts to the children of his home church and the community. Todd embraced, loved, and cared for any and everyone.  He was a loyal and selfless person and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
