Toney was born on 10/15/1968 in Albany, Georgia but raised in “Jackson Park” Palmetto, Florida for most of his life.
Toney attended Manatee High School, he graduated in 1988. Toney was a running back on the Varsity Football team at Manatee High School for 2 years, coached by Joe Kinnan. He also loved to play softball as a hobby. Toney was fondly known as Bogart, Bo, “Bo Knows” (his favorite saying) or “The Boy”. After High School, Toney joined the Job Corp for a short time in Albany, Georgia, he then returned to Palmetto/Bradenton area to work at Tropitone Furniture for a few years, then he started his career as a truck driver for the City of Bradenton from 1995, where he remained for 26yrs, until his health began to fail him. He retired from the City of Bradenton in April 2022.
Bo was a diehard Bucs fan, RED, BLACK AND WHITE!!! He also was a fan of the Florida Gators, from hats to shirts, that was his favorite daily attire. Bo always loved to hang out at family get togethers, holidays as well as tailgating on a regular basis with his buddies. Bo “never met a stranger”, he welcomed anyone and everyone with open arms, he was the most kind-hearted, generous and humble person there could ever be.
Toney leaves to carry on his legacy: a loving and devoted mother, Jeanette Henderson; (1) son, Antonio S. Henderson (caregiver); (2) daughters, Tierney L. Lyle, Tiana M. Lyle;(1) brother, Gregory Henderson; (1) sister-in-law, Robyn Henderson; (1) sister, Sharon Cherry; (3) grandchildren, Kyren, Miley and Mya; Girlfriend & confidant, Sara Stumpf (caregiver); Lifetime friend & mother of his children, Traci S. King (caregiver).
A special Aunt & Uncle / Guardians, who preceded him in death, Jerry and Dorothy Duval, who raised Toney alongside their 6 children.
2 surviving Aunts; Cornelia Armstrong and Helen H. Hall A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
14 Aunts and Uncles preceded him in death.
